Girls Day was established to provide local females with experiences not available in the classroom. With only 6% of all pilots being female,* this event is designed to foster an interest in flying and other areas of aviation.
Representatives from Air Trek North, United States Army, World War II WASP pilot Liz Strofus, Women in Aviation, UND, Minnesota State University and other groups will be available with information and career advice.
Free airplane rides through the EAA young Eagles Program, guided tours of North Memorial helicopter facilities, maintenance hangar, and static airplane displays will be available. Donors have also provided free gifts for participants. FAQs
